How it works |
|
The repair kit works by trapping the wire nut which pulls the window up and down back into position on the slider. Typically the slider being cast aluminum over time twists and bends open allowing the wire nut to come loose and the window is now free to do as it wishes. The aluminum will usually break when you try to bend it back into place to capture the wire nut rendering the slider unusable. The repair part included in the kit covers this entire area, capturing the wire nut in it's original position and strengthening the entire part at the repair point even if the original points are broken away. |

The repair kit only works on regulators manufactured from 97 thru 6-99. To verify that the kit will work on your car follow the instructions and remove the inner door panel and compare the photos below with the regulator in your vehicle. |
